Victron Owners
Victron Connect is great. True – but it's not everything.
For a pure Victron system, the app is a good, free solution. The difference shows once more than one brand is on board, or you want more than just displays.
VisuShip doesn't replace Victron, it builds on it: all devices in one dashboard, real remote access without extra activation, your own automations without coding – plus camera, AIS and weather, which VRM simply can't do.
Our interface
Before we talk about individual features
The biggest difference isn't a feature on a list – it's how you interact with your boat.
Freely configurable
You assemble your own dashboard from widgets in multiple sizes – not us, not Victron.
Any screen size
From smartphone to large multi-function display – VisuShip runs in the browser, with no layout hard-coded for one specific resolution.
Day & night, your units
Switch between km/h, kn and m/s with one click, not through nested menus.
Everything in one system
Propulsion, battery, tanks, weather, camera, alarms – one continuous system instead of a gauge cluster just for driving.
And it's worth a closer look at the details too:
| Comparison | Victron Connect / VRM | VisuShip |
|---|---|---|
| Brands |
Victron devices fully; a few third-party switches (Shelly, Garmin, Safiery) recently too – but no other marine brands like Mastervolt or CZone as full systems
|
Victron, Mastervolt, NMEA2000, WAGO, CZone and many more (Siemens, Philippi, aentron, SuperB, Fischer Panda, Whisperpower and others) – one interface
|
| Remote access |
Yes, directly for Victron devices, recently also for Shelly/Garmin switching devices on the GX – needs extra activation (VRM two-way communication)
|
Yes, included directly for all connected brands, no extra activation
|
| Operation |
Operate each device individually via its own submenu/screen
|
All devices directly on the dashboard, no submenus
|
| Custom linking logic |
Simple switching (relays, Shelly, dimmers) natively possible since Venus OS 3.70; conditional/cross-brand logic still only via Node-RED (firmware change, own programming needed)
|
SPS module directly in the normal interface, no code – plus ready-made automation modules for the most common cases
|
| Alerting |
VRM sends email/push for alarms, but no Telegram/SMS; per user reports, not acknowledgeable/mutable in the app
|
Telegram, SMS, email – freely configurable
|
| Camera, AIS, weather |
No camera/AIS/weather display of its own – raw AIS data can be relayed to external navigation apps via Signal K (separate "Large" firmware image), but not shown in VRM itself
|
Yes, integrated

Runs directly on your Furuno plotter
From TZT3 onward, VisuShip shows your complete onboard system – including Victron – directly on the Furuno plotter you already have at the helm. No separate device, no extra app.
